CBT and other related behavioural therapies - online

Registration is closed for this event
Speaker, Kam Gillar, MSc, Accredited CBT & Compassion Focused Psychotherapist.

About this Event

For children with ADHD, getting through school can be problematic. They may often get into trouble if their condition is not fully understood, and their symptoms prevent them being able to learn effectively. This can have long-term consequences, so the earlier the condition is recognised the better.

Behavioural therapies such as CBT, ACT & CFT have been found to be a helpful adjunctive treatment that directly addresses the sorts of impairments and coping issues associated with ADHD.

This webinar will help parents and carers develop their understanding of behavioural therapies and how these can be helpful in addressing some of the challenges and issues associated with ADHD. It will cover the following areas:

· What are behavioural therapies and the different types available?

· How might these therapies be helpful for children/young people with ADHD?

· What are the potential benefits?

· Advice for parents if they'd like to explore behavioural therapies as a possible option.
