 f their book “Mastering Life with ADHD for Teens: 
 A Self-Help Guide for Teenagers”\, which is aimed 
 at providing a practical workbook for teens with A
 DHD\, we will have Dr Jo Steer and Lucy Willetts l
 ead a seminar. </p>\n \n <p>The seminar is:     </
 p>\n \n <ul>\n 	<li>An opportunity for parents to 
 join the session with or without their teenage chi
 ldren </li>\n 	<li>Covers a teen friendly overview
  of ADHD</li>\n 	<li>Provides practical strategies
  and ideas for managing the common challenges of A
 DHD at home such as executive function and daily o
 rganisation\, parent-teens conflict and independen
 ce\, routines\, managing homework\, sleep and hobb
 ies. </li>\n </ul>\n \n <p> </p>\n \n <h2>About th
 e speaker</h2>\n \n <p>Our speakers have a wealth 
 of experience in working with teens from those who
  were diagnosed at an early age to those only diag
 nosed as teenagers.  Through their respective care
 ers both have supported teens with ADHD to navigat
 e the challenges and working with them to provide 
 tools to navigate life. </p>\n \n <p>Dr Jo Steer i
 s a Consultant Clinical Psychologist\, Associate D
 irector at Achieving for Children where she is Hea
 d of the Emotional Health Service and an ADHD Embr
 ace Ambassador. Jo has authored several books on A
 DHD including “Understanding ADHD in Girls and Wom
 en” as well as the most recent one "Mastering Life
  with ADHD: A Self-Help Guide for Teenagers" \,whi
 ch she co-authored with Lucy Willetts. </p>\n \n <
 p>Lucy Willett is a Consultant Clinical Psychologi
 st in private practice having worked with children
  and young people throughout her whole career.  Ha
 ving worked with young people with anxiety for man
 y years\, she has an understanding how their anxie
 ty is often caused or impacted by neuodivergence s
 uch as ADHD or austim and has developed a passiona
 te interest in this.  She is also co-author with D
 r Jo Steer on the recently published book "Masteri
 ng Life with ADHD: A Self-Help Guide for Teenagers
