Post-diagnosis session Part 2 (Richmond and Kingston borough residents)

Registration is closed for this event
Are you the parent of a newly diagnosed child or teenager in the Richmond and Kingston areas? This workshop is full of essential information that will help you navigate this time of discovery and learning.

Details: Post-diagnosis workshop

Our post-diagnosis workshops led by Valerie Ivens, our Family Support advisor, were devised in conjunction with the NHS and are free of charge to families living in Richmond and Kingston. If you live outside the boroughs, please email info@adhdembrace.org to enquire about attending these sessions.

This workshop gives you the opportunity to learn about ADHD, treatments, and how schools and local organisations can support your child, while meeting other parents and carers in a similar position.

The first session covers introductions, what ADHD is and the Executive Functions. This is a great session as you meet other parents who have also received a diagnosis for their child or young person.  Having a child with ADHD can be a very isolating experience, so knowing others are dealing with similar issues is often very welcome.

The second session covers the important and meaty topics of treatment and education, so do ensure you have registered for both dates. Where possible we try to keep the groups together so, please try to register for the second session in the same month.

This is per family (so two parents wishing to attend should book a single place).
