About this Event

This webinar will give parents an overview of mindfulness and other techniques that you can share with your child with ADHD in order to develop lifelong self-care strategies.  

This webinar will offer suggestions and ideas for helping to build resilience as well as to understanding difficult feelings. 

If your child is feeling anxious or has self-esteem issues it can be overwhelming.  Mindfulness is known to be an excellent technique to help children (and adults) suffering with anxiety. 

 

The presentation will be delivered by Denise Drinkwater who, apart from being qualified to teach mindfulness, also has many years experience in supporting children with various learning difficulties including dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia. 

This session will cover: 

  • An overview of self-esteem issues and anxiety and what these may look like 

  • Discussion of why this may be happening to your child 

  • How to support your child by teaching your child to identify how they might be feeling  

  • Mindfulness techniques and how your child can use these when feeling anxious or overwhelmed 

  • Techniques of how to build resilience and build self-esteem in your child 

  • Simple strategies you can use at home to help your child to cope and feel more in control
