About this Event

This webinar is for parents wishing to better understand the impact of ADHD on their child’s learning and education.

We know that children with ADHD often have difficulties at school, from paying attention and keeping focus to planning and organising themselves and their schoolwork.

Susana will be explaining how, with support, these children can develop the academic skills and the confidence needed to become effective self-advocates to improve their attainment in school.

She will also look at how these learners can build their unique neurodivergent profile including their learning preferences and based this choose strategies and tools that would work for them in the areas of note-taking, revision and organisation.

Susana will share some of the strategies that her department has successfully implemented to help ADHD and other neurodivergent students. These measures have had excellent positive feedback from students and parents alike.

Finally, this webinar will also be an introduction to ND Brains School – a coaching and study skills programme to be run over 6 weeks starting in September, for senior school age children ( targeted towards GCSE and A level students) and an opportunity for parents to find out more about this and register their interest.
