ADHD Richmond congratulates Simon James, Associate Director of SEND at Achieving for Children, on his new appointment in the London Borough of Barnet.
Simon, who has been a key figure in AfC’s journey, introducing the SEND reforms and leading the integration of services for children with SEND, leaves Richmond and Kingston on 23rd December.
In the interim, Charis Penfold, current Director of Education Services, will take line management responsibility for SEND & Educational Psychology Services; Ivana Price, Associate Director of Family & Youth Support, will line manage Integrated Services for Children with Disabilities and the Emotional Health Service, and will cover Camhs tier 2 (mental health and wellbeing team) and family intervention services; and Sara Doyle will expand her responsibilities in relation to Children with Disabilities (safeguarding).
The longer term arrangement will be confirmed in the coming weeks prior to Simon’s departure.
