Before that she had a career focusing on HR in the corporate world.
Commenting on Rebecca’s appointment, Annette Wilson, our Chair and Founder said: “We are delighted to welcome Rebecca as we grow the team in order to support the increasing demand for our services. Over the last year we have made terrific progress in putting in place an infrastructure to ensure ADHD Richmond and Kingston is sustainable into the future and also expanded our wonderful team of volunteers. Rebecca’s experience in the voluntary sector will be very valuable, especially as being a community is at the heart of what we do.”
Rebecca: “I am very pleased to join ADHD Richmond and Kingston. I was attracted to the role at as it was an opportunity for me to contribute to helping build the charity, which makes a real difference to families. It has a wide range of activities where it provides support to our families, offers opportunities for networking and learning about ADHD for parents and professionals and builds greater awareness in the wider community”.
Annette Wilson further explained commented. She said: “2020 was a very busy year for us and I am delighted that we achieved a number of key milestones. Earlier in the year we registered as a charity and were very fortunate to secure our first funding by getting the backing of three local funders: RPLC, Hampton Fund and Barnes Fund. This funding has allowed us to hire our first employees to enable us to start enhancing our infrastructure to better support the way we delivered our offering. 2020 also saw a strong increase in the number of families and professionals who use our services. We have broadened the number of our volunteers and recruited further Trustees, whose support and contributions have been invaluable. From this very solid foundation, we look forward to 2021”.
