16 – 28 October : Orange Tree Theatre, Richmond presents a special co-production with Flute Theatre, of A Midsummer Night’s Dream This participatory performance has been created specifically for young people, over 10 yrs, with communication and social interaction difficulties, including ADHD, Autism, Aspergers, PDA and other SEND. At each performance, up to 15 young people take part in sensory games, led by 6 actors. The games reveal the characters and themes of the play whilst helping participants with their communication skills. The participants families or carer sit just behind them to watch from the auditorium, whilst the actors and participants help to unravel Shakespeare’s story. Everyone is welcome to join the actors after the performance for tea and biscuits – a great chance a talk to other families and make new friends.
