Operations Lead (24 hours per week – flexible)

The Operations Lead is responsible for the smooth and efficient operational delivery of ADHD Embrace’s services.  This includes leading the design, planning, implementation and evaluation of ADHD Embrace’s services, ensuring they are high-quality, responsive to community needs and aligned with funding commitments. This is a key role in a small charity and combines planning with day-to-day hands-on coordination.  Read our blog post about the role here.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you’ll be ensuring our service delivery makes a real difference to children, young people, families and professionals working with young people with ADHD. You’ll also be part of a supportive, values-driven team. We are collaborative, kind and practical, and we care deeply about both our community and each other.

Benefits:

  • Pro rata of full time salary of up to £35,000
  • Holiday entitlement of 30 days including bank holidays (pro rata)
  • Employer pension contribution of 3%

We are actively recruiting for more volunteers at the moment, with a diverse range of opportunities to gain meaningful work experience for as little as 2–3 hours a week. We are happy to consider people without specific knowledge, but willing to learn.

• Photography, videography and editing
• Content creation, and copywriting

Fundraising Events
• Challenge event fundraiser support– giving our supporters the best experience possible, and represent the charity at our calendar of events
• Community events programme development and coordination

Administrative roles
• Database administrator
• Video library administrator

Fundraising
• Grant bid writing
• Corporates and other donors engagement

We are interested in selecting 1-2 interns annually, depending on need; the type of role may vary but we will be launching a new recruitment drive this autumn. Types of opportunities that come up could be in Marketing, Fundraising or IT.

• Unpaid roles, 2 days per week
• Opportunities for undergraduates, recent graduates or career changers to gain valuable experience
• Placements available for up to 12 months (minimum 3 months)

Training and coaching will be provided.

We are a Non-Profit organisation but both these internships provide valuable skills-based experience across disciples sought after by the broader business community.

Typical Marketing skills applied; data analysis, marketing collateral development, promotion, event management, project management, digital marketing.
Typical Fundraising skills learnt; presentation-building, bid applications, case studies and testimonials, copywriting, data collation & reporting, relationship management & collaboration, communication skills.
