Understanding ADHD: Current Research and Practice

The course will ensure your knowledge of ADHD is up to date by featuring fundamental information about ADHD, as well as exploring the latest research.

You will learn about:

  • ADHD – understand what ADHD is and how it affects the brain
  • The diagnosis and best practice treatment of ADHD
  • Practical strategies to help the educational and personal development of people with ADHD

Independent Provider of Special Education Advice (IPSEA)

Education, Health and Care Plan Masterclass – Existing Plans

When: Wednesday 10th June 2020, 10 AM to 3.30 PM online via Zoom
Price: £65

This online training day will help you navigate the system and support you to make informed and positive decisions regarding your child’s education.

Training will cover the following topics:

  • What should an education, health and care plan look like?
  • What information should it contain?
  • What to do if you’re not happy with a plan
  • Using the annual review
  • Requesting re-assessment
  • Appealing to the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal

Introduction to SEND Law

When: Wednesday 17th June 2020, 10 AM to 3 PM online via Zoom

This one-day training is designed specifically for parents, carers and supporting family members as an introduction to the law on special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Training will explain:

  • What your local authority and education setting should be doing to help
  • The process of obtaining an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan for your child
  • Looks at what an EHC plan should contain
  • Question and answer session
