COVID-19 & Anxiety: helpful resources for children and young people

The University of Oxford and the University of Reading have gathered a resource for supporting children and young people with worries about COVID-19.

During this difficult period, many children and young people will be feeling anxious and worried. This behaviour is expected – to address their concerns, the resource provides advice on what adults can do to help support them during this worrying time.

With lots of new information and advice becoming available online at your fingertips, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and unsure of what to follow. This simple guide provides advice and links all in one place to ensure parents and carers have everything they need.

Here are some resources for children and young people with specific needs, taken from the guide:

Our webinar ‘Managing the anxiety of children & young people during lockdown and beyond’ held last month also provides helpful advice on managing the anxiety of children and teenagers with practical strategies.
