An update on local services

Now that people and organisations have adjusted to living and working in the current situation, we’ve compiled a short list of the services that are and are not operating with their contact details.

ADHD Richmond and Kingston post diagnosis sessions

In terms of our services, our ADHD post diagnosis sessions that we offer have moved onto Zoom for now. The post diagnosis sessions aim to cover what a diagnosis means, treatment, the role of schools and local support services. You can contact our ADHD Information and Support advisor, Val Ivens, via email to make a booking. You don’t have to have just received a diagnosis for your child to attend but please contact Val to discuss if you think it would be a useful and appropriate session for you to attend.

Single Point of Access service (SPA)

The Single Point of Access service is running and you can speak to them about many issues including diagnosis, supporting your child with their emotional wellbeing and mental health and schooling.

Diagnostic assessments should be taking place as normal although we understand there was a backlog when lockdown first came into force.

Medication no new regimens are being prescribed as that requires an in-person appointment but current prescriptive reviews are taking place either by phone if straightforward or, if more complex, via video call.

EHCP reviews are occuring as usual. Find more information about annual reviews on the AfC website.

SENDIASS team

Your SENDIASS team at Kids.org are working via phone and Skype calls.  They can give you independent advice with school issues and understanding the relaxation of the EHCP laws and what this may mean for you and your child.
