This seminar will cover how schools and staff can manage challenging behaviours for pupils with ADHD & trauma through Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) and will specifically look at:
- What drives the challenging behaviour
- Managing a child who is about to become unregulated (“fizz”) through the lens of ADHD or trauma
- Why consequences and rewards do not work for pupils with ADHD and trauma
- Addressing behaviour with relational management.
- Practical strategies that can be easily implemented in the classroom.
About the speaker
Jenny Wilkinson, Dip.Couns, NVR Parenting. Jenny is a qualified counsellor, trauma-informed family therapist, and accredited NVR Practitioner with lived experience of child-to-parent violence and ADHD. Jenny specialises in helping parents create calm in their family using Non-Violent Resistance (NVR).
