About this Event
This webinar explores the complex relationship between ADHD and emotional well-being during adolescence, a developmental stage marked by rapid neurological, hormonal, and social change. The session will consider the role of puberty and some of the challenges this can bring. The webinar would be of interest to parents and professionals working with teens as well as teens are also welcome to join the webinar.
Participants will gain insight into common mental health presentations in teenagers with ADHD, such as anxiety, low mood, emotional dysregulation, and risk-taking behaviours. The webinar will focus on recognising early warning signs, understanding what may sit beneath behaviours, and distinguishing between typical adolescent development and signs that additional support may be needed. Practical strategies will be shared to help parents, carers, and professionals respond effectively, including ways to support emotional regulation, build resilience, and create environments that promote safety, connection, and wellbeing.
