About this Event
This webinar provides an overview of the key principles for Calmer, Easier, Happier parenting which are the foundations of the parenting skills typically taught in our parenting courses that are led by Noel Janis-Norton. Noel has extensive experience in working with young people with ADHD and their families and this seminar is a high level overview to explain what her approach is to parenting children with ADHD, who may display extreme temperament: very sensitive, intense, impulsive, inflexible. Children with ADHD also may display a discrepancy between above-average cognitive ability and immature social or emotional development, weak executive function and rudeness, verbal and/or physical aggression. Calmer, Easier, Happier parenting is designed to for parents to get better cooperation from their child with ADHD and also develop increased confidence, motivation, self-reliance, and ultimately improved self esteem in the child. The seminar is an introduction to the approach for parents, but the techniques around this need to be accessed through a multi-week parenting course.
